report annual property price growth is softening, growth in the year to September at its lowest rate since October 2021 and January 2022 respectively.

Jeremy Hunt has announced a reversal of many of the plans outlined in the mini-budget. The SDLT changes and reduction in NI contributions will
remain. A full Autumn statement will be made on 17th November.
Transactions
Close to 104,000 property sales took place in September, on par with August
according to data released by the HMRC. Quarter on quarter sales
volumes were down just 0.6%.
Demand
Buyer demand remains 20% higher
than in the last normal market of 2019
but has fallen 15% year-on-year in the
2 weeks since the mini-budget
(Rightmove).
Investment
At 3.6% UK rental price growth in the
year to September is at its strongest
since records began in 2016. Rental
prices continues to rise across much
of the UK, the ONS index based on
both tenancy renewals and new
tenancies.
